Pano Platres is the most renowned mountain summer resort of Cyprus. Situated on the southern slopes of Troodos only 40km from Limassol. Pano Platres is a very old village listed among the 119 villages that belonged to the Limassol district in the times of the Francs (1192 - 1489 AD). The development of tourist in Cyprus began in Pano Platres, in the early years of the 20th century. The Nobel price Greek poet, G.Seferis, made Platres immortal through his famous verse in his poet "Eleni": "The nightingales let you not sleep in Platres". Among the sights are nature paths that wind through pine forest to the refreshing Caledonian and Millomeri waterfalls and the beautiful brick-built residences. There are also many restaurants, taverns, coffee-shops, place of entertainment, two banks and souvenir shops.

Restaurants and Bars

  • BLUE RESTAURANT (MAIN RESTAURANT)
    All the Dinning activities are in the BLUE Restaurant feature local cuisine as well as International Cuisine and various theme nights. It is located in the ground floor and is facing the external swimming-pool of hotel and the pine trees. It is also famous for the international and Cyprus buffet that is made once a week as well as the Sunday Buffet lunch. The dinning can be accompanied by a vast selection of wines from international and local vineyards. In the summer period additional seats are added on the outside veranda. The Blue Restaurant can serve meals of vegetarians and child.
     
  • Indira Ghandhi II Restaurant (KOSHER RESTAURANT)
    Since Jul 2002 the hotel started to cater and serve KOSHER cuisine. Now it's the only hotel in Cyprus to cater for KOSHER food from a separate kitchen and served in a separate dinning. Non-residents guests are also welcome to participate, but a booking has to be made prior to the arrival. It can be found next to the Blue Restaurant overlooking the pine trees.
     
  • Olympus Bar
    The Olympus Bar with typical Cyprus decoration is ready to please you day and night with its refreshing cocktails and boast for its Original Brandy - Sour Cocktail since in this Bar the first glass of this refreshing cocktail was prepared for King Farouk of Egypt, in the early 40's. It is situated on the Ground Floor, in front of the main entrance of the hotel and has total capacity of 25 persons inside and 12 persons outside.
     
  • External Pool Bar
    In the Summer time the exterior Swimming Pool bar opens serving all types of snacks. The personnel are ready to serve you in the hot days of summer, while the nightingales lullaby during the night time. It is found beside the main swimming-pool. The restaurant allows guests to dine comfortably with the swimsuits for there lunch meal. The total capacity of is 100 persons. Ideal for the private Gala dinner, BBQ's and Gatherings.
     
  • Cafeteria
    The Cafeteria is the place where the hotel guests enjoy their breakfast. The well-known veranda of the Cafeteria with view of the exterior swimming-pool is often used as a point of meeting and relaxation. It is situated in the ground floor next to the gardens with the pine trees. The Cafeteria apart from good quality of alcoholic drinks that it offers, it serves also afternoon tea with cake and biscuits as well as a big choice of hot or cold dishes and very good home made ice cream.
     
  • Room Service
    The hotel offers room service between 07:00 until 23:00 with a choice of foods and drinks at a small charge of €2.00 per order.
     
  • Conference Bars (OFFERED ON REQUEST)
    The hotel offers one or even more conference bars as part of coffee breaks after the long-lasting meetings. This bar offers also light snacks, sandwich and sweets but also refreshments.

Directions from Paphos to Platres (via Limassol)



  1. Join on the A6 motorway and head towards Limassol (Lemesos)

  2.  Do not take the first turn off signed Troodos

  3. Travel approximately 50 Km

  4. Reaching near Limassol take the first turn towards the main Limassol Hospital.

  5.  Follow the signs towards Polemidia Roundabout. At the roundabout take the road to Troodos

  6. Follow the road approximately 37 Km passing the villages of Alassa, Lania, Trimiklini, Saitas and Moniatis

  7. Take the left on F825 towards Platres

  8. At the end of the road turn right and immediate left. Continue the road you will see the Traditional store appear on your left hand side.

  9. Continue the road and after 1 minute you will see the big arch way of the Forest Park

  10. Continue the drive way up and you will reach the reception area


Directions from Larnaca to Platres (via Limassol)



  1. Join on the B5 motorway and head towards Limassol (Lemesos)

  2. Reaching near Limassol take the exit Troodos. You should see a stadium on your left

  3. On the Roundabout of Polemidia, Take the road to Troodos

  4. Follow the road approximately 37 Km passing the villages of Alassa, Lania, Trimiklini, Saitas and Moniatis

  5. Take the left on F825 towards Platres

  6. At the end of the road turn right and immediate left. Continue the road you will see the traditional store appear on your left hand side.

  7. Continue the road and after 1 minute you will see the big arch way of the Forest Park

  8. Continue the drive way up and you will reach the reception area

Hotel Cancellation penalties:
1. In case of cancellation up to 16 days before the date of arrival, 20 EURO will be charged.
2. In case of cancellation later than 15 days and up to 8 days before the date of arrival, 40 EURO will be charged.
3. In case of cancellation later than 7 days and up to 4 days before the date of arrival, 50 % of the total price will be charged.
4. In case of cancellation later than 3 days and up to 0 days before the date of arrival, 100 % of the total price will be charged.
